FrameWrx by Daktronics is a cloud-based content design platform that enables anyone, anywhere to access professionally designed templates to elevate their brand for event production and promotions. This timesaving platform simplifies content creation, maximizing the impact of digital video displays and social communication. Event producers of any ability can access top-level, intentionally designed templates, created by the professional digital artists who provide content for professional stadiums.

Steps

FrameWrx Roles Overview 

FrameWrx has two primary user types: Admins (including IT Admins) and Users (such as students or designers). Each role has different permissions and is managed through separate workflows depending on the role type. 

Admin:

  • Commonly used by instructors, content approvers, or program leaders. 

  • Has full access to: 

    • Managing users (via Daktronics Online Account) 

    • Template and branding creation 

    • Project reporting 

    • System configuration 

  • Can log into FrameWrx via SSO through their Daktronics Online Account credentials. 

IT Admin: 

  • Typically a member of your IT department. 

  • Access limited to managing Admin roles and viewing account-level settings. 

  • Cannot design content or access templates in FrameWrx directly. 

  • Can log into FrameWrx via SSO through their Daktronics Online Account.  

User (Designer/Student):

  • Typically students or content creators using the Classroom subscription. 

  • Has access to: 

    • Design tools 

    • All templates and projects 

  • Logs in using assigned username and password (no SSO required). 

  • Users are created and managed directly in FrameWrx.  

Admins & IT Admins Managed via Daktronics Online Account:

All Admin and IT Admins are managed through your Daktronics Online Account to support Single Sign-On (SSO) and centralized role management. 

Important: Admins can no longer be added or edited within FrameWrx 

To add, remove, or edit Admins or IT Admins: 

  1. In FrameWrx, go to the Admin tab in the top menu bar. This should take you to the "Account Admins" tab. 

  2. On this page, you will see instructions for adding, editing, or removing Admins through your Daktronics Online Account. 

  3. Click the Manage Admins in Daktronics Online button to open your Daktronics Online Account in a new window. 

  4. Click on "Your Subscriptions" and scroll down to see the Subscription Admins. 
    • To add an Admin, click on the Add an Admin button, select the contact and role, and click Save. 
      • If your Contact is not in the list, click Cancel and navigate to My Account and Add New Contact. Once complete, follow the steps above to add the Admin. 
    • To remove an Admin, click on "Remove" next to the admin. 

*All access-related changes made in your Daktronics Online account will automatically sync to your FrameWrx account. 

 

How to Add a Student User: 

Only Admins can add Student Users within FrameWrx. 

  1. Navigate to the Admin tab. 

  2. Go to the Student Users subtab on the left menu. 

  3. Click Add Student User. 

  4. Fill out: 

    • Name 

    • Email 

    • Status 

    • Role 

  5. (Optional) Check boxes for: 

    • Send Welcome Email 

    • Disable Social Export 

    • Hide System Templates 

  6. Click Create. 

 

Managing Student Users in FrameWrx 

Once a student user is added: 

  • Hover over their row in the Users grid to see action options: 

    • Send Welcome Email if the user hasn’t logged in yet. 

    • Log in as this user to view their projects. 

    • Delete user (⚠️ Best practice: edit the email instead of deleting, as re-adding a deleted email will fail.)
