VIP Stored content failed to display, invalid format

Potential Symptoms

  • Display is showing : Invalid Format xxxx.jpg. 
  • Display not playing images when in stored content mode.

Cause

  • Unsupported format.
    • Supported image types are JPEG, PNG, and 24- and 32-bit.

Resolution

For Temporary Operation

  • Use https://jpg2png.com/ or something like it to convert files to PNG, making sure not to have special characters or spaces in the file names
  • OR
  • Use Snipping Tool (Windows Key + Shift + S) or Snagit to crop the image as a new file and re-upload to stored content.
