Westhold Race Manager: How to interface with an All Sport 5100

Potential Symptoms

Setting up communications with West Hold Race Manager.

Environment

  • Product: AR-2402
  • Component: West Hold Race Manager, Moxa USB to serial adapter
  • Control System: All Sport 5100 (Code 333)

Resolution

  1. Connect All Sport 5100 (code 333 w/ 0G-139243 insert) from 9 pin comport to the USB serial adapter with a strait through cable. *Leave All Sport in Race mode and do not adjust any other settings.
  2. Check Device manager to find what port the cable is set to.
  3. Open Race Manager.
  4. In the setup tab under Scoreboard Control set comport, Total Positions, Daktronics as a scoreboard Type, and Check Enable.
