6000 Processor: How to configure an input via the user interface?

Steps

Note: By default, 6000 processors are expecting a 1080p30 input resolution. If the customer isn't sending this, the video signal will work, but it will look distorted on the Video Display.
Note: If a Blackmagic device (such as an ATEM) is being used as a 1080p video source, ensure the Blackmagic device is configured to output an SDI "Level A" stream and not a "Level B" stream.

  1. Log in to the 6000 processor.
  2. Locate and click the Inputs tile on the dashboard
    1. An error symbol indicates that there is an error that should be fixed. 
    2. A warning symbol indicates a notable change to an input such as a test pattern or override.

  3. Click an input tile to change the input configuration.

  4. Change the name of an input or the configuration parameters.
    1. For VPs:  If you change the "Input Format" of an input on an "Input" card to a different frame size (1080 vs 720), proceed to the following section below: Change the Video Processing Engine Configs.
    2. If changes to Video Processor settings are not required, rebootStartup and Shutdown Procedures for 6000 Series Video Processors (DI-6000 and VP-6000)

 

 
Change the Video Processing Engine Configs
  1. Click on the Wrench icon in the top left corner to access Configuration.  
  2. Click on the Video Processors tab. 
  3. Here you will see either a tile labeled JavaScript Engine or NextGen Eng, adjust accordingly. 
  4. Adjust JavaScript Engine.
    1. Click the tile with the Video Processor type: JavaScript Engine.
      1.  If there is more than 1 (multi-card systems may have more than 1 vidproc card), you will need to determine which one corresponds to the input that had its frame size changed (from the steps above).
      2. Example for a 3 Card VP (Card #1 - input card, Card #2 - vidproc card, Card #3 - output card) that was wired as follows:
        1. SDI input on card 1 port 0 had its frame size changed from 1080p to 720p.
        2. Contract wiring shows this feeds the input on card 2 port 0 (standard wiring).  Checking the inputs page, card 2 port 0 was called "VP SDI Input A" at this site.

        3. Search the "Sources" under JavaScript Engine tile(s) until this input is found. Once identified, change the Width and Height settings from 1920 x 1080 to 1280 x 720.

        4. Click Save.
        5. Reboot: Startup and Shutdown Procedures for 6000 Series Video Processors (DI-6000 and VP-6000)
        6. Repeat on any backup processors to ensure functionality. 
  5. Adjust NextGen Engine
    1. Click the tile with the Video Processor type: NextGen Eng.

                                     

      1.  If there is more than 1 (multi-card systems may have more than 1 vidproc card), you will need to determine which one corresponds to the input that had its frame size changed (from the steps above).
      2. Example for a 3 Card VP (Card #1 - input card, Card #2 - vidproc card, Card #3 - output card) that was wired as follows:
