These steps describe how to power cycle the 6000 series video processors. 

Steps

Boot Order

For general startup and shutdown procedures, see Control Room Procedures

The DI-6000 and VP-6000 needs to be booted before any DMP's and other video input devices. 

Powering Up:

The DI-6000 and VP-6000 will automatically boot when a power cable is plugged in.
Other than that, the proper way to power on a DI-6000 or VP-6000 is to use the power switch on the front. Push the power button once and wait for the computer to start.

 

Powering Down:

The proper way to power on the DI-6000 and VP-6000 is to use the power switch on the front.
Push the power button once and wait for the computer to shut down properly.

Do not hold the button down until the computer shuts off.
Do not pull the power cord or shutdown the 6000's by turning off the UPS.
