When you’ve been on a plane holding the Eastern Conference trophy with the Miami Heat, shared a locker room celebration with Pat Riley and managed video production for three NBA championship runs, you’ve got stories. We were lucky enough to hear a few of them during our latest episode of The Daktronics Experience podcast with Keith Haeberle, our new production manager for Creative Services.

Keith brings nearly two decades of elite sports production experience to Daktronics, and his perspective on content creation, team culture and innovation is already making waves within our Creative Services team.

From Western Kentucky to South Beach

Keith’s path began with internships for the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators before joining the Charlotte Bobcats during their inaugural NBA season. But it was his 18 years with the Miami Heat that shaped much of his professional career.

“I started as an entry-level video editor and eventually made my way up to overseeing the entire department,” Keith said. “That content was used everywhere—arena shows, online, social media, even broadcast.”

Keith had a front-row seat to some of the most iconic moments in basketball history. One story that stood out was his first NBA championship with the Heat in 2006.

“I remember thinking, ‘Wow, this is easy. We’re going to win this thing every year,’” he laughed. Of course, reality set in after that first title, but Keith remained a part of all three Miami Heat championships during his tenure.

Diving into Daktronics

Now about five weeks into his role here, Keith is focused on understanding workflows, identifying process improvements and getting to know our team’s strengths.

“I’m really just all about elevating our content,” he said. “We have an incredible group of talented artists. The goal is to raise the bar and show what we can do.”

One of Keith’s early discoveries since joining Daktronics is just how vast our reach truly is. From arena boards to airport signage and in-store retail content, our Creative Services stretch far beyond traditional sports venues.

“I had no idea we were producing content for things like airport displays and Verizon stores,” he admitted. “It just shows the variety of work this team can do.”

And with platforms like Framewrx, our subscription-based content solution, Keith is also keeping a close eye on expanding markets—from high school sports to churches, banks and small businesses.

“That’s an amazing opportunity to grow the business. It’s not just about sports—it’s about helping all kinds of customers get high-quality digital content.”

What’s Next?

Keith’s arrival signals a new chapter for our Creative Services team. He’s excited to work alongside Creative Director Jason Rogers and Executive Experience Director John Gandy, bringing a new level of strategy and execution to what we offer.

“This is a white glove experience,” he said. “We treat every client with high-level respect. My advice? Jump in the pool—we’re ready to swim.”

We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Keith on board. His background, vision and energy are already raising our game, and we’re excited to see how he helps us evolve in this fast-moving digital space.
