Daktronics Display Takes Center Stage for Extron in Australia

Extron has collaborated with Daktronics to install a high-performance Chip-On-Board (COB) LED videowall at the Sydney Technology Centre. This installation demonstrates the integration of advanced LED display technology with Extron’s industry-leading AV processing and control solutions in a purpose-built environment for training, demonstrations and customer engagement.

The COB display features a 0.9-millimeter pixel pitch, offering excellent image clarity at close range. Designed for professional AV applications, COB LED technology delivers vibrant color accuracy in a lightweight form factor while a protective surface layer provides resilience during installation, routine maintenance and everyday use.

At the core of the display is the Extron Quantum® Ultra videowall processor. Its modular architecture, advanced Vector™ 4K scaling engine and high-speed HyperLane® video bus enable real-time performance and flexible content management. The system powers dynamic demonstrations, training sessions and is an integral part of Extron’s certification programs.

This installation joins other Daktronics LED videowalls at Extron facilities around the world. At the Extron Event Center in Anaheim, California, a pair of stunning videowalls with Daktronics COB LED displays are driven by a single Extron Quantum Ultra II next-generation 8K videowall processor. A direct-view LED display is also featured in Extron’s showroom in Europe, where it provides a vibrant backdrop for business discussions and introduces customers to the performance possibilities of LED display technology.

Together, these installations reflect an ongoing collaboration between Extron and Daktronics to present LED videowalls in professional AV environments. Each location gives customers a chance to experience firsthand how Extron processing, switching and control solutions operate with cutting-edge display technologies in real-world applications.
