Attending the NACDA Conference in Las Vegas for my first trip as a Technical Sales intern for Daktronics was an incredible experience and really showed me the ways in which Daktronics representatives work, as well as the strong connections Daktronics has with many universities around the country.
During the show hours for NACDA, I assisted with AllSport Pro demonstrations and showed off the advanced features of the system to effectively create interest in the technology behind Daktronics scoring systems. This was important to me as working with AllSport has been one of the main focuses of my internship so far, and getting to demonstrate it to customers felt like a real-world payoff of my training.

Also, during the NACDA show hours, I was able to listen in on many conversations between Daktronics representatives and college representatives, as well as other vendors at the event. Getting a deeper understanding of how we work with the college sports industry and seeing clear examples of the level of professionalism and knowledge that Daktronics representatives are expected to have gives me something to work towards as I grow as an intern.
Overall, this trip was an invaluable experience, and the knowledge I gained will help me succeed throughout the rest of the internship.
