Venus Public Alerts: How do I set a current IPAWS alert as inactive or active for my display?

  • Product: Venus Basic, Venus Select, Venus Professional, Venus Enterprise
  • Components: Emergency alerts, IPAWS, AMBER
  • Control System: Venus Cloud-Based, Venus Local
 

Steps

Follow these instructions to disable/enable a running alert for your display. 

Viewing alerts status

Specific alerts can be viewed by clicking on the Emergency Alerts option from the Scheduling App.    The Alerts Page will show active alerts for the account.  
  • Account administration / parent level can see all alerts. 
  • Child / Display Level can only see their and their descendants' alerts.

Disable an alert.

  1. Log into Venus Control Suite and open the Venus Scheduling App. See: How do I log into Venus Control Suite?
  2. Choose Emergency Alerts from the left side menu.

This will list any active IPAWS alerts.  Pick the alert you wish to enable/disable for a display.
  1. Select the alert on the active alert page.  A right side slide out will appear.
  2. Select the displays and click Set Active or Set Inactive for the alert.
