Venus Displays: How do I set default transitions for my display in Venus Control Suite?

Topic

  • How do I set default transitions for my display in VCS?
  • Effects- fade, dissolve, wipe, etc.

Environment

  • Product: Venus Select, Venus Professional, Venus Enterprise
  • Components: Content Transitions
  • Control System: Venus Cloud-Based, Venus Local, DMP-8000 version 8.5.0 or later, DMP-5000 version 8.5 or later
Note: It may say in VCS under Displays>Transitions that this will only work for DMP-8000 8.6.0.0 or higher. That is untrue. Confirmed with Software Ops that that Transitions will work for both DMP-8000 and DMP-5000 so long as their revision is 8.5 or later. See Control System above.

👉Things to note for VCS Transitions:
Transitions are entry effects only on items.  A transition applied to a web presentation would happen on the 1st slide and not in-between different slides.

Content transitions are part of the Venus Select Subscription level, please verify your subscription level on the Launchpad.  If you are in Venus Basic you will not be able to add or edit default transitions.  If you would like to upgrade your subscription, please contact technical support.

Things to note for VCS Transitions:
    • Transitions are entry effects only on items .  A transition applied to a web presentation would happen on the 1st slide and not in-between different slides.
    • If Content Studio is used to create a sequence (presentation) with transitions built into it, then, there could be a scenario where there are two different transitions happening at the same time.  It would play out as:
VCS transition -> CS transition -> CS transition.
