Steps

Step 1: Determine the location of where the driver is going to be installed.
    1. The following pictures will provide a guideline on how to determine what Face and Line your driver will need to be.

Step 2: Determine whether the driver has a set of dip switches or a set of dials.

Step 3: Addressing the Drivers (Review step 2 above, the driver will either have dip switches or the dials but they will not have both to address the driver Face and Line settings. Dials may also be green rather than red).

If the driver is using the Dip Switches for addressing

  1. Every Driver must have a unique address.
  2. Address is set by flipping the switches on the 8 position dip switch on the driver located in the center of the DF driver board.
  3. The switches rock up and down. The switch is off if it is down on the "OFF" side and the switch is ON if it is down on the number side.
  4. Use the following chart to set the dip switches for the correct Line and Face settings.

    3 & 5 ON

    3, 4, & 5

  5. Line 1/Face settings is based upon your communication option.
    1. For FLR-100/RC-50 communication the driver will have to match the unique addressing that will be on the handheld.
    2. For Other communication options the setting will be NO dip switches on.

If the driver is using the dials for addressing

  1. On the right side of the FL driver board, there are 2 dials. The top is labeled "LINE" and the bottom is labeled "FACE." To address the line and face, simply turn the dial so that the white line points to the desired line or face number.

Step 4: The display should now be properly set.
  1. To make sure each display is properly addressed, power cycle the sign.
  2. As the sign boots, each display will show its face and line number, ie. "2.L1" is Face 2, Line 1.
