Display Modules: Blank module(s), Issue follows module, Failed module

Potential Symptoms

Blank module or row of modules.
Module blank. Content may or may not be shifted down the rest of the signal stream.
Issue follows module at a new power supply location on the display.
DB-4000 modules and above do not respond to self test.
No LED indicator lit on back of module even though getting proper voltage.
Module fails to accept firmware update.
Power connection on module broke off.
A single module is garbled or scrambled.
Discolored module or row of modules.

IDM / System Health Event(s)

Communications Failure alert on mods.
Missing Firmware on blank module.
Over Temperature on blank module.

Cause

Failed module.

Resolution

Replace failed module.

Note: Blank (empty) module may be available for some display types.

For Temporary Operation

If no replacement modules are available, move module to end of signal chain to minimize the visual impact.

The end of the signal chain is either the right side of a single Galaxy display or the right side of the mirror face on a 2v configuration.
For displays with PLRs, try to locate bad mods next to each other to minimize outage area.
