  3. Select the Number of Segments from 1 to 40. The default is 10 segments.
  4. Set the Segment Time from 0:00 to 59:59. The default is 4:00.

Note: With Reset All Segment Times enabled, changing the time will change every segment to that time, even if certain segments have been manually edited.

  5. Enable or disable the Segment End Warning and set the Warning Time. By default, this is enabled with a time of 0:30. When the warning time is reached, the segment number flashes until the main clock reaches zero.
  6. Enable or disable Breaks Between Segments and set the Break Time. By default, this is enabled with a time of 1:00.
  7. Enable or disable Auto Advance. When enabled (default), segments will automatically proceed to the break (if enabled) and then to the next segment. When disabled, users must manually move to the next segment, and there will be no break time between them.
  8. If any of the segments will require the use of a play/shot clock, set the Reset 1 and Reset 2 time values.
  9. Tap DONE when finished setting up the practice session.

Operation

To customize a segment, tap EDIT and then tap the segment in the list. Tap the default name and use the onscreen keyboard to enter a new name (max 15 characters). Set the minutes and seconds values and then tap SET. Continue tapping other segments to modify them as needed and then tap DONE to exit the edit mode.

Edit Practice Segment.png

Tap the play button next to the clock to begin counting down the first segment time. Tap the pause button to stop the clock.

Note: While the clock is running, it is not possible to change to another segment or edit any of the segments in the list.

When the clock reaches 0:00, it will either stop, begin the break time, or begin counting down the next segment time, depending on the current practice timer settings (see Setup). The clock will always stop after the last segment time has expired.

To edit the current clock time, first pause the clock, tap the clock menu button (Clock Dots.png), and then select Edit Clock. Enter the new minutes and seconds and then tap SET. To reset the current segment time, tap the reset button (Timer Reset Button.png) when the clock is paused. The reset button may also be used to end a break early.

Tap the horn button to manually sound the horn. Tap the clock menu button and select Enable Auto-Horn to make the horn sound automatically at the end of a segment.

Play/Shot Clock

A play/shot clock can be enabled or disabled as needed throughout the practice session. To activate a play/shot clock, pause the main clock, tap the clock menu button (Clock Dots.png), and select Enable Play/Shot Clock. Tap the smaller play button to begin counting down the play/shot clock time. Tap the smaller pause button to stop the play/shot clock. Tap one of the reset buttons to quickly revert the play/shot clock to the Reset 1 or Reset 2 value as specified in the Practice Timer Settings. The current play/shot clock time can also be edited by tapping the clock menu button (Clock Dots.png) and selecting Edit Play/Shot Clock.
