DM-100 receiving incorrect prices from POS, POS not on-line.

Potential Symptoms

  • Prices listed on the DM-100 coming from the POS are not correct.
  • Com Port Monitor does show information from the POS but it does not result in the correct price shown on the DM-100.
  • Prices on the display are incorrect but can be manually updated to show the correct price from the DM-100.
  • POS system reads "Display Offline"

Environment

  • Product Family: Digit and Price Displays
  • Product: FL-3000
  • Component: DM-100 with 2 Serial Ports
  • Control System: Sapphire POS

Cause

  • POS is not connected to the network to receive updates and is still sending outdated prices to the DM-100.

Resolution

  • Verify physical cabling for the POS system and ensure nothing obvious is unplugged
  • If needed, contact your POS provider to work through correct setup of the POS system.
