Getting error when running Venus 1500 and Vanguard on the same computer

Potential Symptoms

  • Getting error when running Venus 1500 and Vanguard on the same computer.
  • Getting Daktronics Nucleus Server error.

Environment

  • Product Family: Transportation
  • Product: Vanguard V4 Pro, Vanguard V4 Standard, Venus 1500

Cause

  • Daktronics Fusion Certificate issue.

Resolution

  • Vanguard must be installed first before installing Venus 1500 v4.

  • Verify Vanguard works before reinstalling Venus 1500 V4

  • Delete Fusion certificates.

  1.  Go to Windows Start Menu:

  2. Windows XP - Click Run, type MMC and hit [Enter].

  3. Windows Vista or 7 - In the Search Programs and Files, type MMC, select MMC from filtered Start Menu.

  4. Windows 8 - Hover to bottom right of desktop, click Magnify Glass, type MMC and hit [Enter].

  5. Windows 10 - Click the start button, type MMC and hit enter

  6. From the MMC Console, click File -> Add/Remove Snap-in.

  7. Under Available snap-ins menu, select Certificates and click Add > to push to Selected snap-ins menu.

  8. From the Pop-up window, select Computer Account and click Next.

  9. Leave on or select Local Computer and click Finish.

  10. Click Ok.

  11. In the Left side panel, under Console Root, double-click on Certificates (Local Computer).

  12. Double-click on Personal -> Certificates.

  13. Select the Daktronics Fusion CA certificates in the folder and delete by selecting and hitting (Shift + Delete) keys.

  14. Reinstall Venus 1500 V4.

  15. Verify that the application both open up successfully.
