Emulation mode put the sign in software to emulate what the sign would display without the message getting sent out to the sign.
- Open DVS software.
- Click on the display you want to put in emulation mode.
3. Click on other settings.
4. Click on emulated mode so it goes from red x to green check mark.
5. Click save.
6. Now the sign will have a yellow star on it.
7. Reverse the previous steps to take sign out of emulation mode.
Note: Older softwares that don't have this feature in the software will need to be done in the properties file of the sign in DVS folder.
1. Go to C:\Program Files\Daktronics\DVS\DVS_SERVER_4_7\display
2. Open the sign properties file in notepad.
3. Search file until you see #emulated=False.
4. Underneath this type emulated=True. Note: do not put # in front of it or it wont take. See below image of it done properly.
5. Save the file and restart DVS services.
6. To take it out delete the comment that was put in, save file again, and restart services.
