"Control Enclosure Open" event on the VIP in IDM, cable disconnected or plugged into the wrong spot

Potential Symptoms

  • "Control Enclosure Open" event on the DMP even though:
    • The door is not open
    • The Door Peripheral is configured correctly
    • The VIP's firmware is fully updated.
    • The Door Switch, the controller and the cables are themselves good.

Environment

  • Product Family: Billboards
  • Product: DB-4200
  • Component: Door switch, controller, wiring between the door switch and the controller
  • Control System: Visiconn, Venus Control Suite, 3rd party player

Cause

  • The cabling between the door switch and controller is disconnected or plugged into the wrong spot.

Resolution

  • Connect the cabling together correctly.
