SportApp: How do I configure baseball plug-in Manager [stats, pitch speed, pitch clock]

  • How do I configure a plug-in manager for Baseball SportApps, including Stats, Radar Gun / Pitch Speed and Pitch timing?

Steps

Setup the Plug-in manager for the Baseball SportApp.  

 

  1. From the main UI menu button, click on the Plug-Ins icon to launch the plug-in manager.

  2. Click on the Stat Crew baseball options to bring up the Stat Crew baseball settings. 
  3. Input the necessary info to get stats to the Livebook and turn the plug-in on using the switch at the top of the dialog.

    • Instance Name: Stat Crew Baseball
    • Server Type: FTP  
    • Server Name: Stat Server (without FTP://)
    • Path: leave blank
    • User Name: admin
    • Password: password
    • Plugin Mode: Active
    • Replay Interval: 2500
  4. Press ok or apply to accept the changes.  When the settings window closes, the plug-in manager indicates that the plug-in was enabled. Like the Stat Crew settings window, it will switch on.
  5. Press save to close the dialog box.

  6. Press ok or apply to accept the changes.  When the settings window closes, the plug-in manager indicates that the plug-in was enabled. Like the Stat Crew settings window, it will switch on.
  7. Press save to close the dialog box.
  8. Press ok or apply to accept the changes.  When the settings window closes, the plug-in manager indicates that the plug-in was enabled. Like the Stat Crew settings window, it will switch on.
  9. Repeat/verify plug-in settings for the radar gun data.

  10. Press ok or apply to accept the changes.  When the settings window closes, the plug-in manager indicates that the plug-in was enabled. Like the Stat Crew settings window, it will switch on.
  11. In version 4.3.0.12 and higher there will be a Baseball Pitch Clock option

  12. Select options to configure the Pitch Clock controller

  13. Once the options are correct, press ok to save the settings
  14. Press save to close the dialog box. 

 

 

Stats Feed Verification
Once the stat plug-in is enabled and it connects to the server the stats feed will show Data Ok in green. If there is a connection issue it shows error in red.

Stats Tab Verification

Click on STATS EDITOR (bottom row) to view the stats builder.

Player and Team Stats Verification
  1. To the right of the stats builder is the full box score that contains the player and team stats. It contains the player names, jersey #, positions, etc.

  2. The team stats tab shows similar info to that of the player stat.

Baseball Pitch Clock

  1. The Baseball Pitch Clock section is towards the center of Playout Tab in the Sport App

  2. Select the ellipsis in the top right corner of the Pitch Clock section to configure how the pitch clock will appear in the scorebug
