Content Studio: Unable to modify the Source field of existing content to a newly added profile in the Field Properties tab.

Potential Symptoms

  • Recently added a profile that adds an offset or UDP change to an existing profile and when trying to adjust existing content to that source, the option is not available in the Field Properties.
  • Added a Timer C option (swim or dive) and when modifying content from Timer A or B, the option doesn't exist to convert to the Timer C source.

Cause

  • The profile added doesn't share the same .DID association as the other profile(s).  When the Pair was added, it was pointing to a different .DID file.

Resolution

  • Using Profile Editor, delete the newly generated Available Data Source and make a new one that matches .DID name as the other profiles.
