Display offline in Venus Control Suite, network cable not secured at network switch

Potential Symptoms

  • Display offline in Venus Control Suite.
  • Boot up sequence shows and IP address of 169.254.X.X.
  • Port on network switch or router is not lit.

Cause

  • Improperly secured network cable into network switch / router port.

Resolution

  •   Re-secure network cable into network switch / router port by verifying that release table is in the up position or until you hear a click when plugging in the network cable.
