Data Studio Basketball: How to configure TV feeds?

  • Product: Data Studio NCAA Basketball 
  • Component: 64 bit machines
  • Control System: NCAA LiveStats (NLS for Basketball), StatCrew XML, Genius Sports)

Tip: if the system previously used DSTI, the settings can be quickly verified.  

DSTI, select the sport, and click view configuration.

Steps

  1. Close DSTI to make sure the COM ports are available for Data Studio. You may need to disable DSTI from opening automatically and reboot the computer.
  2. Log into Data Studio and go to the Outputs page. 
  3. Click on Add Output and select TV feed.

  4. Select the UDP or Serial radio button.  - most will be Serial.  
    1. Add the Port number or UDP #. This example uses COM7 as the Truck Dock output.

  5. Click Save.  
  6. Add additional outputs as needed.  
  7. Upon completion of all the edits, click on the Data Providers / Enable NCAA.  This will transact/save the changes.  data studio basketball enable providers.png
