Template folder missing in Data Vision Software (DVS)

Potential Symptoms

Cause

  • Unknown.  Customer might have deleted folder.

Resolution

  1. Copy templates folder from other display of same model and matrix size and copy to C:\Program Files\Daktronics\DVS\Embedded DVS_#_#\web\content\_messages\<display type/resolution>\templates
  2. **NOTE:  You will not need to disable Write filter on the display you're copying the templates folder (with blank.dml) but IT IS necessary to disable the Write filter on the display you're copying the templates folder to.  Then re-enable the Write filter on the display once the template folder with the default.dml has been copied to the appropriate directory.

OR

  1. Uninstall DVS and reinstall.  Reinstalling DVS will include the templates folder.
