What does the Red Dot on top right corner of Data Vision Software (DVS) server mean?

Steps

 

Red dot on top left corner can indicate these possible issues below.

No communication to the sign. 

  1. Try to ping the converter. 
  2. If you can ping try and connect with the DMS Utility. DMS Tool.zip. Download
  3. If you cant connect DMS utility make sure the baud rate and address on the sign match the DMS utility.

Fualty or corrupt message

  1. Clear the messages off the controller and see if the sign starts communicating.
  2. If previous step resolves issue then fix or delete corrupt message.
  3. If previous steps dont resolve issues verify sign is configured for the correct sign it is sending message to.
  • Please also note that DVS software window itself has a larger red circle indicator in the very upper right corner which will also be red if one or more individual display is reporting an issue.
