LS-1000/AF-6711 showing low memory window on the sign

Topic

  • To determine if Intel(R) Technology Access-Service is using an excessive amount of memory on the SBC.

Environment

  • Product Family: Daktronics Ireland
  • Products: LS-1000 display, AF-6711
  • Components: SBC (Single Board Computer) Windows 10 Operating System
  • Control Systems: DVS software, Tight VNC software

Steps

  1. Connect to the SBC and log into it using Tight VNC software. See KB DD4199232 to download tight VNC.
  2. Next to the windows key select "send control alt delete" button. See image below for an example.

  3. A window will pop up click on the Start Task Manager.
  4. Click on Processes tab.
  5. Below look through the background process for Intel(R) Technology Access-Service.
  6. If it looks like the below image and the MB are really high, then disable it.

  7. Restart the SBC.
  8. Log into the SBC disable the write filter.  DD3743568
  9. VNC into the SBC.
  10. Click on the windows key and search for services.
  11. Click on services.
  12. Right click on Intel(R) Online Connect Access.
  13. Go to properties.
  14. in General Tab change the startup type to disabled.  See below.

  15. Then click apply and ok the services should be disabled now.
  16. Enable the write filter on the SBC. DD3743568
  17. Verify that the sign is running correctly after restart.
