Galaxy Pro Revolution, Stuck on ad or blank, message contains picture with large file size.

Potential Symptoms

  • Display experiences larger than desired hold times on ads prior to being stuck on one.
  • Rotation will resume eventually after sticking on a file and then blanking for a period of time.

Environment

  • Product Family: Message Center 
  • Product: Galaxy Pro Revolution (GPR)
  • Component: M4 Controller
  • Control System: Venus 1500 V4

Cause

  •   Controller can't process the frame with a large sized picture (jpg, png, etc.)

Resolution

  1. Review content to locate files in the presentation that contain pictures.
  2. Utilize software to resize the picture such that it is a smaller file size prior to uploading into your presentation.
  3. Create presentation with newly sized pictures.
  4. Save presentation and publish to the display.
  5. Ensure rotation is able to play without freezing.

For Temporary Operation

  • Remove any files in the presentation that have larger picture files added to the slide.
