ERTD commands fail after updating the DMP software

Potential Symptoms

  • After updating the DMP8000 software, many ERTD commands no longer function
  • Specifically, Play and Add commands, however other commands may be affected
  • The failing commands have a library path specified that begins with a '/' character.  For example:  "/folder1/folder2"

Environment

  • Product Family: Video software and controllers
  • Product: DMP-8000
  • Component: v8.16 and older
  • Control System: Show Control System (SCS)

Cause

  • Software bug

Resolution

  • Update to version 8.17 or newer of the DMP software

For Temporary Operation

  • Update the ERTD command by removing the first '/' character
