DakStats Football: How do I enable the fair catch rule?

Steps

New rule for 2018: For kickoffs or punt returns, any fair catch made between the goal line and the 25-yard line to be treated as a touchback. The offense will start at the 25-yard line.

With the rule enabled, the software will auto set to the correct yard line when a fair catch made inside the touchback yard line.

To configure: 

  1. Update DakStats Football to version 5.09 or later.  See: DakStats: How do I update my software?
  2. If you have an existing season.
    • Navigate to Configure - Rules… check the box for the Fair catch rule..
  3. Any new season created that uses the NCAA rules file will default this rule to On or Yes.
