Unable to communicate to VS6 using Vanguard Software

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to communicate to the display using Vanguard.
  • Able to get to the web interface page for only the VIP and not the DMP.

  • Control System: Vanguard Professional, Vanguard Standard software

Cause

  • VIP is set to Ethernet only instead of NAT in the web interface network settings.

Resolution

  1. Log into the VIP.
  2. Select the wrench icon for configuration.
  3. Under configuration select Network.
  4. Select mode and change it from Ethernet only to NAT.
  5. Click Save to save configuration.
