DakStats crashed and closed in the middle of my game without saving any plays/stats.

Potential Symptoms

  • DakStats suddenly crashed and closed in the middle of my game without saving any plays/stats that were entered.
  • I opened a game, and then the program inexplicably closed without any warning or error message.

Cause

  • Season database corrupted. Season databases typically become corrupt due to a loss of power that forces the system to be shut down improperly. Corruption may also occur if too many applications are trying to read from the same database at once.

Resolution

  1. Go to Configure > Season and System Preferences.
  2. Click the Utilities tab.
  3. Select the season that contains the problem game(s), and then click Repair/Compact.
  4. Close and reopen DakStats.

If repairing the season does not resolve your problem, go to the Utilities tab, select the season again, and then click Submit Season. This sends the database to the DakStats helpdesk to allow them to examine and fix the season database.

Note: It is recommended that you back up your seasons as often as possible to avoid losing data when corruption occurs. On the Utilities tab of the System Preferences, select a season and click Backup.
