FCM log files are filling up the DMP hard drive

Potential Symptoms

  • DMP player computer's hard drive is full.
  • There are a large number of log files in "C:\ProgramData\Daktronics\FusionClientModule\Log".

Environment

  • Product Family: DMP
  • Product: DMP 8000
  • Component: DMP 8000 v8.9 and older
  • Control System: VCS

Cause

  • The FCM application did not have a mechanism to limit or clean up the number and size of log files it writes.

Resolution

  • Update to the version 8.10 or newer of the DMP software.
  • The updated version of the software package will limit the number and size of error logs from FCM.

For Temporary Operation

  • Manually delete the log files and restart the DMP
