"Fusion Server not running" error, Fusion Service Startup Type set to Disabled

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to open Venus 1500 V4. See this error: Fusion Server not running. Please try restarting this machine or running as Administrator
  • The Fusion service has not started.
  • The options to Start and Stop it grayed out.
  • Rebooting the computer or running it as Administrator will not get it to start.

Cause

  • The Startup Type of the Fusion service was set to Disabled.

Resolution

    1. Go to Windows Start Menu.
    2. In the bottom search bar type: Services
      • Services will filter the Windows Start Menu.
    3. Click on Services with the gears in front.
    4. Locate Daktronics Fusion.
    5. Right-click and choose Properties.
    6. Under Startup Type:, choose Automatic.
    7. Click ok.
    8. Right-click on it again and choose Start.
    9. Open Venus 1500 V4.
