DPF configured incorrectly; Reconfigure 4K Input into DMP-8618

Potential Symptoms

  • 4K Input only shows a quarter of the screen
  • 4K Input doesn't show anything.

Cause

  • DPF file is not configured correctly
  • Wrong DPF file is selected.

Resolution

  • Configure 4K input into Matrox Card on DMP-8618 or DMP-8518:
    1. Locate DPF File Location.
      • C:\ProgramData\Daktronics\Vnet4\Content\system\devices
    2. Open "test.dpf" file
      • Only two lines are needed in this file.
      • First:
        • uri=dev://Matrox/0/0
          • This should match the first input you are trying to use. In this example its "A"
      • Second:
        • video_format=HD2160p
    3. Configure your output resolution of the 8000 to match the output resolution of your video card.
      • If it's 4K and your output is set to 1080 it will cut off part of the image.
    4. Play test.dpf on the zone of choice or the primary zone.
