How to change Data Vision Software (DVS) controlled sign from Embedded to Data Vision Software (DVS) Player

Steps

    NOTE: The below steps are if DVS is installed in C: drive and not program Files(X86). If stored in programs file X(86) you will have to go to task scheduler to enable DVS player and disable DVS embedded
     
    1. Power cycle the display.
    2. Disable the Write Filter.
    3. Delete the DVS.bat shortcut that is in the startup folder and delete DVS.bat from the desktop if it exists.
      • Navigate to the startup folder.
        •  Hold down the windows key and press R to launch the run command.
        • Type: shell:startup
        • Click OK
    4. Navigate to the DVS bat file location for either the Embedded or Player.
      1. For DVS Embedded go to - C:\Program Files\Daktronics\DVS\DVS_Embedded_4_7
      2. For DVS Player go to - C:\Program Files\Daktronics\DVS\DVS_Player_4_7
    5. Right click on DVS.bat file select sent to/Desktop (create shortcut)
      1. Note: the file type should say Windows Batch File.
    6. Move the created shortcut of DVS.bat file to startup folder.
    7. Enable Write Filter. Follow article from step 2 for instructions.
    8. Power cycle the display.
