Loud hum when switched to analog on Sportsound 500SP

Potential Symptoms

  • Loud hum when switched to analog on Sportsound 500SP.
  • Hum goes away when switched back to digital/network.

  • Control System: SSR-100

Cause

  •    Cable between T-1130 JENSEN/DIN-LI and 216 on AMP1 terminated incorrectly as show below:

Resolution

  • Turn power off.
  • Reterminate per DWG-1115742.

  • Turn main levels down.
  • Power back up.
  • With levels down, switch to analog (and analog/digital switch) and then increase levels slowly to test (with and without audio input).
