Getting Fusion Error When Launching Venus 1500; Fusion service disabled, Set Service to Automatic

Potential Symptoms

  • Getting Error: Fusion Server not running. Please try restarting this machine or running as administrator.
  • Fusion and Nucleus services are not started.

Environment

 
  • Product: Venus 1500 v4
  • Component: Daktronics Fusion Server service
  • Control System: Venus 1500

Cause

  • Daktronics Fusion service is set to disabled in Services.msc.

Resolution

  1. Click on the Start or Windows button in the taskbar.
  2. Click or Type Run and launch this application.

  3. Right click on Daktronics Fusion and select Properties.

  4. Click on the General tab.
  5. Under startup type, select Automatic and click OK.

  6. Start the Daktronics services.
  7. Open the software normally.
  8. Restart the computer to verify services start automatically. If they still don't start, set the Daktronics Fusion and Nucleus services to Automatic (Delayed Start), using steps 1-5.
