Able to get status but unable to publish; Corrupt presentation

Potential Symptoms

  • Venus 1500 is able to obtain status to the display.
  • The sign may be blank and may have content files listed in Stored Presentations that will not run.
  • There are several different alerts in Venus 1500.
    • No Response.
    • Send file "xxx" Bad Command. (xxx represents the message file name)
    • Send file displayname.m2s Bad Command.
    • Send file "xxx" file size cannot be accommodated.
    • Invalid Response.
    • Scheduled content will not fit on display - Display name
    • An error occurred while processing the response.
    • Receive  error "The file could not be opened from the server" when opening presentation in Venus.

    • When trying to Publish presentations to the display, receive alert:
      • Windows XP: Could not find file 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Daktronics\Nucleus Server\Disk Data\
      • Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 10:  Could not find file 'C:\ProgramData\Daktronics\Nucleus Server\Disk Data\

Environment

  • Product: Galaxy Displays
  • Component: Content Studio
  • Control System: Venus 1500 v4

Cause

  • Corrupt Content Studio presentation.

Resolution

  1. Open file determined to be corrupt in Content Studio if possible.
  2. Resave it.
  3. Publish back to display.
  4. If not resolved, recreate message then republish.
