Display showing Temp as -196; Bad ribbon cable
Potential Symptoms
- Temp on the display is showing up as -196 which is a default of the controller when it is not seeing any temperature data.
- Controller status in Venus 1500 shows temperature as -196.
- Issue is not resolved with a replacement sensor but sensor is properly addressed and receiving proper voltage.
- Controller shows a proper temp reading if ribbon cable between controller and QC is swapped with a known working ribbon cable (module to module).

Cause
- Ribbon cable between Quick Connect (QC) and controller has failed.

- Replace failed ribbon cable.
