How to Indicate Drive Direction on the Video Board?

Steps

  1. To show the stat representing drive side or drive direction, you must first make sure the All Sport 5000 is set to auto calculate the down and distance

  2. In Content Studio, navigate to the correct sports profile:
    1. This feature works for DakStats Football, StatCrew Football, and NFL GSIS
  3. Expand the Game in Progress:Football Folder and in the search bar type in Drive

  4. Select and drag the stat Drive Direction ('L' or 'R') onto your canvas and adjust as necessary
  5. Daktronics recommends using left or right arrows via Media RTD (How Do I Create Media RTD Fields in Content Studio?) to display this stat
    1. Hint: If this information will be displayed on sideline ribbons that will be mirrored across from each other, you can use the subfolders (How to Use Media RTD Items in Subfolders?) feature for media RTD to make sure your arrows are pointing the correct direction on both displays and not opposite directions due to the mirror.
