Steps

  1. (NOTE: CHANGING ANY SETTINGS OTHER THAN DESCRIBED BELOW CAN RENDER THE CONTROLLER INOPERABLE) Connect to the VFC Primary Ethernet port Enter the IP address of the controller in the address bar of a web browser (Example: http://10.10.10.10:85) You will be prompted for the user name and password.

  2. Contact Daktronics for user name and password.

  4. Go to the DNS Configuration box and enter 0.0.0.0 for the preferred and alternate DNS server and then click on Save at the top (if you see a no icon when trying to save, verify the DNS IPs are entered correctly and not 00.0.0 or something similar).
  5. Set NTP time server on VIP.
      1. Click Time.
      2. Delete one NTP server (Press the x to the right end of the Servers box.).
  6. Set the remaining NTP server to your NTP server address.

    1. If you don't have an NTP time server available set the IP address to the internal IP address of the DMP using the following process (if you have multiple NTP servers listed, the VIP will start at the 1st entry and use the 1st available)

      1. Verify this is the correct address.

        1. In IE enter the IP of the controller, add port 80 if it doesn't work (example: 10.10.10.10:80).

        2. Click the network box (don't use the IPs that show in the box).

        3. Use the IP address that shows in the IP Address box of the IP Configuration box as the NTP server.

  7. If your computer is on the correct time zone click Synchronize ( If needed, set your computer time to the correct time first).
