  • How to create a decibel meter effect on a pylon?
  • How to create a zipper effect that runs up and down the pylon that emulates a decibel meter.  It is great to play when the drivers are starting their engines.

Steps

  1. Open the Daktronics Motorsports Interface and click on the Output tab.
  2. Click on the output listed with Protocol "MDP" to verify it is selected.  As shown in the example below "New Output 1" "MDP" is highlighted blue.
  3. Click on the Visual Effects button to start the effect on your pylon.

  • Click again on the Visual Effects button to stop the effect and resume normal operation. 
  • The following is a visual of how it will look on the display.  Daktronics Motorsports Interface's virtual Pylon display will not show the Visual Effect and will continue to show what will be displayed when resumed to normal operation.
