  • How to Boot up a Nova Star Sender Box?

Environment

  • Product: Nova MCTRL 660, NovaStar brand sender box
  • Components:  
  • Control System: Gold family or NPP Control using transmit common/open protocol, includes but not limited to DVN-4003, J Series, U Series, Q Series

Steps

Connect all axillary and hardware equipment and cables per drawings.

  1. Turn on power via the switch in the front.
  2. Verify that the sender box is running via the equipment indicators.

There are 3 indicators on the MCTRL 660.

PWR indicates power is on.

The RUN indicator blinks slowly when no video source is available. (The light keeps on for 2 seconds and then off for 2 seconds.). It blinks normally when the video source is available. (It blinks about twice per second.). It blinks quickly when start-up screen is displayed. When the redundancy works, the indicator blinks at a frequency of breathing.

The STA indicator holds steady on when the equipment runs normally.
