DakStats: How do I import a box total game from Stat Crew/Statbroadcast
Potential Symptoms
How do I import an XML game from Stat Crew into Dakstats?
Environment
- Product: Dakstats Sport
- Component: Software
- Control System: Any
Resolution
- Obtain the xml from Statcrew or StatsBroadcast and save it to your desktop
- Open up Dakstats and choose the Import Game option from file manager
- Change your import Directory to the directory that has that xml file by selecting that button
- In the file type drop down choose SC XML (*.xml) and highlight the xml file to import the selected xml file on the left hand side of the screen
- Select the Import File button
- One of two things can happen at this point, it will either import the game if the existing team and players currently exist in Dakstats or it will prompt you to add the team
- If you need to import the team select Add New (it may prompt you again for the other team)
- There would also be a prompt for resolving players
- If a player has a misspelled name or different jersey number, the player could be resolved by highlighting the correct bottom entry and choose Select, if the name/number is currently correct in the game you are trying to import you can select Add New and go back to the incorrect game(s) and correct it later or choose to go with adding the same player twice.
- Also if a player had not played in previous games or had been removed from the roster, the same two options apply, Select which performs a merge with the highlighted player or Add New
- If a player has a misspelled name or different jersey number, the player could be resolved by highlighting the correct bottom entry and choose Select, if the name/number is currently correct in the game you are trying to import you can select Add New and go back to the incorrect game(s) and correct it later or choose to go with adding the same player twice.
- The game is now imported into Dakstats
