New digit will not connect to scoreboard harnessing, older style digit sent for newer scoreboard

Potential Symptoms

  • New indoor scoreboard digit I received has different connections than the original one.

Cause

  • We have released a new hardware revision that has the same function but different connections and pinouts compared to older hardware revisions. 
    • The new digits are designed to work on the older edge (flat) style connectors so you can replace an old revision digit with a new revision digit.
    • The old digits will not work on a newer scoreboard that came from the factory with the newer mate-n-lock style connector.

Resolution

  • There is no way to install an older revision digit with the edge connection into a scoreboard with the new mate-n-lock style connector.
