Display not updating content from VCS, Controller locking up.

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to connect to the display using M2 Config, but able to ping the display.
  • Only can connect one time after a power cycle, then display locks up again.
  • Venus Control Suite (VCS) shows bridge and DMP as online, even though cannot connect or send new content.
  • VCS shows downloading icon even though M-Bridge shows content is already downloaded.
    • C:\ProgramData\Daktronics\MSeries Bridge\Controllers\"unique folder"\Content\Fusion.

Cause

  • Controller lock up is preventing the M-Bridge from communicating properly causing content to not update.

Resolution

  1. Confirm display is getting good incoming power and has good grounding.
  2. Replace controller.
