Content Studio: Cannot Save Content from Content Studio to V7000; V7000 Firewall On

Potential Symptoms

  • Cannot save content created or edited in Content Studio to V7000.
  • An error occurred while communicating to the VMPL2SQL Conversion Service. The service is inaccessible.

Environment

  • Content Studio
  • Venus 7000

Cause

  • Firewall is active on Venus 7000 PC and needs to be turned off.

Resolution

  1. From the Start menu, type in Windows Firewall to bring up the Windows firewall control panel. Be sure to select Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.

  2. Once the control panel is open, select Windows Firewall Properties and from the window that pops up, navigate through the Domain Profile, Private Profile, and Public Profile choosing Off as the Firewall State for all 3 tabs. Apply these settings and your control panel should have a red X underneath those 3 profiles.
