How do I measure the J33 AUX jack voltage on a GS6 quick connect?

Topic

  • How do I measure the J33 AUX jack voltage on a GS6 quick connect?
  • How do I verify that the sign is outputting power to the communications device?

Environment

  • GS6

Steps

  • When the jack is orientated with the half circle at the top, measure the bottom middle and bottom right connections as seen below - you will likely need to insert a small wire or paper clip into each hole to measure off of unless the leads on the meter are small.  Voltage should read around 12 volts DC.
