Galaxy, V4.19.2, No Communication, Modem Disabled

Potential Symptoms

  • No communication to the display.
  • "Unable to connect to display" or "no communication configurations" error in V4.
  • Modem is Disabled in Device Manager.
  • Not able to chose Dial Up in V4 Configuration.

Environment

         
    • Product Family: Software; Message Displays
    • Product: Galaxy Message Display
    • Component: 56K Modem
    • Control System: Venus 1500 v4.19.2 and below

    Cause

    • Modem is Disabled in Device Manager.
    • Modem is not listed in Modem list in Venus 1500.

    Resolution

      1. Open Device Manager.
      2. Click on Modems.
      3. Right Click on modem that you are using.
      4. Select Enable.
      5. Open V4.19.2
      6. Click on Orange V in top left corner.
      7. Click on Venus 1500 Options.
      8. Click on Modems.
      9. Click on Refresh Modems.
      10. Click OK.
