Error 26 when attempting to install Venus 1500 version 4.19 on Windows 10; unsupported OS

  • When attempting to install Venus 1500 Version 4.19 on a Windows 10 computer the installer fails and shows "A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to the SQL server.

Cause

  • Venus 1500 version 4.19 is not supported on Windows 10 because it used Microsoft SQL 2008 and that is not supported on Windows 10.

Resolution

For Temporary Operation

  • Update communication method and use Venus 1500 Version 4.22 or later.
