DMP and VIP devices offline, Power cycle network switch.

Potential Symptoms

  • The IP scheme is set correctly and the configuration is correct on the VIP and DMP, but both devices are offline in VCS.

Environment

  • Product Family: Message Display
  • Product: GS6
  • Component: Network switch or port
  • Control System:  Venus Control Suite Daktronics Hosted

Cause

  • The network switch (port) is locked up and needs to be power cycled.

Resolution

  • Power cycle the network switch and both devices should come online shortly.  This will either be the network switch within the building that the EBR/display is connected to, or possibly a switch in the display that gets power-cycled with the main display breaker.
