Error 1310.Error writing to file C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Content Studio\Bitstream.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.

Potential Symptoms

  •  Get the following error when attempting to save any changes made to content in Content Studio, or while repairing or installing Venus 1500 V4:
    • "Error 1310.Error writing to file C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Content Studio\Bitstream.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory." 
    • The error may also appear as an Error 1304 with a different dll name.
  • Get the following error when attempting to open a presentation in content studio:
    • "The setup must update files or services that cannot be updated while the system is running.  If you choose to continue, a reboot will be required to complete the setup".

Cause

  • Anti-virus is causing a conflict with Content Studio files.

Resolution

  • Disable antivirus or add the Daktronics folder in the Programs Folder (x86) as an exception for real time protection and scanning.
